Learning with the Foundation
Who can join the courses?
Our programmes are designed for different groups including school learners, young people, women, adults, teachers and small-business owners. Each course page explains its intended audience.
Do I need to own a laptop?
Not always. Device access depends on the venue and cohort. Tell us what device you have when registering so we can advise you.
Are courses free?
Some places may be sponsored and others may have a fee. We confirm the cost, schedule and venue with you before you commit.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions may take place at the Foundation learning space in Kampala or at a partner school or community venue. The confirmed venue is shared before the cohort begins.
Do I receive a certificate?
Course completion certificates may be issued when the learner meets the attendance and practical requirements communicated for that cohort.
Can a school register a whole group?
Yes. Schools and organisations can request a group programme through the Partners page.
Working together
How can my organisation partner?
Use the partnership form to tell us about your organisation, target learners, venue and the kind of collaboration you have in mind.
Can I donate a used laptop?
Yes. We accept enquiries about working or repairable computers and other devices. We assess each item before confirming whether it can be used.
How do I volunteer?
Tell us about your skills, experience and availability through the volunteer form. The team will discuss suitable opportunities and any safeguarding requirements.
Can my organisation sponsor a cohort?
Yes. We can discuss the learner group, learning objectives, venue, delivery costs and reporting arrangements.
Will my name appear on the website if I donate?
Only if you explicitly agree to public recognition. Anonymous and private contributions are respected.
